How does blue man group get blue?

I understand that blue man group uses make-up, but how do they get so blue?

its a special type of paint, cuz if its outdoor paint theyll just end up dieing like the chick on the 007 movie

LOTS of make-up xD? they proabaly use a really dark shade like navy so it appears dark but not as dark as the original color when applied
