Bluestar died, when Tigerstar plotted against Thunderclan to wipe them out,
(They were his biggest problem in taking over the clans.) so he sent dogs to kill Thunderclan, and they killed Swiftpaw, Brightpaw, and Brindleface, but ultimately, Bluestar payed the highest price of all, by throwing herself, and the lead dog over the cliff. She almost lived, but the dog pulled her down along with it, and she nearly drowned.

However, Oakheart came to her, and helped her swim to shore, where her surviving kits were waitng. They forgave her, and she died.
