How does boxing improve you physically?

I am 14 years old and i recently bought a punch bag with gloves. If i keep on boxing for a long period, will this enhance my physical appearance and make me look more muscular?

  2. Set a timer for 5 minutes and start punching. See how long it is before you are gasping and sweating like a pig. It is a great workout. It will build muscle tone, stamina, upper body strength and is a great fat burner. So the answer is yes. Increased muscle tone with decreased body fat will make you look more buff.

  4. the best thing for you is to go to a boxing gym and they will train you your 14 thats a good age for boxing maybe in 1 yr you'll be ready to box amateur

  5. Ok well if your looking to look for muscular... arms- dumbbells. Abs- do crunches, bicycles, ab rollers are by far the best though. http://www.rosstraining.com/articles/whe... for the ab rollers. I made them because of this guy and I honestly had a six pack in about a week and a 8 pack in about a month from these.

    If you want to burn fat then definently punch your bag alot... try 3 2 minute rounds with a 60 second break in between and stretch and drink water on your breaks... water is delicious when you are working out!

    If you want to try to attract girls... they love abs!
