How does cable work in Canada. Do they have comcast and directTV?

If not do they have on demand? like comcast and direct tv and how do you get on deman on direct tv

  2. Canada has cable and satellite providers different from the ones who do business in the US. Comcast does not provide cable service in Canada.

    DirecTV is only available to US residents with a clear view of the serving satellites. Canadian residents can only subscribe to Canadian satellite providers Bell ExpressVu and StarChoice.

  3. There are laws or FCC regulations against US cable/satellite operating outside of the US.  I have no idea why.
