    Or as a by product of digestion where living organisms, people and animals, consume foods containing carbon atoms and convert the carbon atoms into CO2 molecules which are expelled with each breath.  Methane is also released in the same process.  Animals actually release more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than vehicles and power plants.
