I'm going to guess that what you meant was, "What is a dynasty?" Well, according to Princeton, it's a "series of powerful leaders all in the same family". So, the dynasties were long-lines of blood-related Emperors. When a new family took over the Imperial Throne, a new dynasty did.

China had plenty of dynasties, the last one wasn't even Chinese but Mongol. Which one are you talking about?

Edit _ You're right, daddy, sorry, wrong dynasty. I mixed up 14th century Mongol Khubilai Khan and the Manchu Qing dynasty.

So to correct my post: some of those dynasties were not even Chinese

Manchurians, not Mongols

Those two are totally different

(just like French and Russians are different)

most of all

Manchurians are part of modern China

Mongols are not

which dynasty? there isn't one now as far as I know. however China has like a 4000 year history, with Multitudes of dynasties, be more specific.
