  1. well if your a Buddhist desire is the root of all suffering, while if your a hedonist, desire is the compass for truth, but mostly, i feel one can't escapee desire in deciding anything on a philosophical nature, it is too much part of our core needs, if you define the world without desire, you couldn't "desire" to follow it
