  1. water builds muscle.

but too much water, as far as trying to guzzle water and not EaT..because please remember that 80 percent of our food contains water also/ ;;0

    so please eat. also

But, that is how, in answer to your question, water builds MuScLE and MusclE   helps you with your overall energy, and strenght and well being!

  2. It kills the hunger pangs and helps you detox, but don't over do it.  You will still need a healthy balance of the different food groups.

Think of slimming as a game.  You have a certain amount of calories you can use whatever way you want and when you lose 5 lbs you go up to the next level.  Make a list of your favourite foods and search the internet for their nutritional information.  Then compile this into a cheat sheet you can keep in your pocket.

  3. Not only does it not contribute to weight loss, in extreme excess it is dangerous. It produced over-hydration, hyponatreamia, and eventually fits and even death!

What you need to succeed is both effort and willpower.

The problem with your question is that if you look in "search for questions" it comes up 30 times every day. I have had some criticism for repeatedly using the same answer, but since I am happy with my answer, and the questions are the same, I don't see the issue with recycling the same answer.

In practise for problems that came up on a regular basis we tended to use patient leaflets to avoid having to repeat ourselves this seemed a sensible use of resources. What follows is thus in effect me information leaflet.

Weight loss and fitness is always a long term commitment and never a quick fix. If you really want to reduce your weight a bit, this is a complex regime, that should help, I would get a pencil to write it down, in case you forget any of the intricate details.

Currently only using the criteria 'lose weight' there are 9,419 questions and answers on Answers already. Mis-spell it as 'loose weight' and you get another 2,633! 'Weight loss' will add another 1,883. 'Too fat ' 15,515 and 'overweight' 2,692 and 'over weight' 26,269!!!!!.

'Diet Pills' gives 607, Green tea 482, Hoodia 195, 'pink patch' 119, 'Xenical' 91 'Reductil' 78, 'Slim fast' 215 (and Slimfast 69 ), lipotrim 44 and 'orlistat' 40 . Do you spot a pattern here? OMG that is 60,000 questions with the same basic theme, wanting to lose weight!

Here comes the only answer, no tricks, no pills, no short cuts, If you really want to lose weight, loose weight, not be too fat or overweight, follow these instructions carefully:-

    1) Eat less

    2) Take regular vigorous exercise

    Repeat 1 + 2 forever

  4. It does HELP. It won't make a difference on it's own. It helps with digestion and removing toxins which can cause bloat.

  5. Here is an article on the benefits of drinking water, which does include losing weight.

  6. Because body needs fluid...If u dont provide it with enough water it starts to retain water and makes u gain weight....BUT if u hydrate urself nicely then the body doesn't need the water and it excretes normally....Clever thing this human bod huh?

  7. There are a few reasons. It can speed up your metabolism, especially if you drink it cold because you body has to use more energry and warm it up when going through digestion. It also helps fill you up which you then eat less. Here is a website that talks about it.

  8. It doesn't, its a fairy tale.

  9. Actually a study found earlier this year that it's not truly the water.  The reason why you end up slimming when drinking water is because your not drinking as much or at all sugar filled drinks like soda.    Therefore, you end up losing weight and slimming from cutting out all the sugars.

  10. There is some truth to it in that if you drink more water (keeps hydrated without calories) you tend to eat less. I read an article in Men's Health about a month ago that stated that drinking a large glass of water right after waking for the day (about 30 minutes before eating) could actually help you burn more calories during the day.

Be cautious of links that you get from questions like this as well, many are trying to solicit you to join something or just to go to their site to make them money. I see that a lot with people who ask questions like how to make money . . . ? The link below is usa today and contains some information that should relate to what you are asking. There is also a lot of information at menshealth.com and then click on the weight loss tab. Make sure that your pop up blocker is on or you have to close some little windows.

  11. In you brain, there is a tiny section of the brain that is in charge of motivation called the hypothalamus. A particular section, called the lateral hypothalamus, controls motivation for hunger and thirst. This means that if the lateral hypothalamus is stimulated, whether it be for hunger or thirst, a person will be motivated to eat and drink. This means that even though the body needs only water, the person will feel like they need both food and water.

  12. I understand it does not.  That is a myth.  Eat less; exercise more.  That's the only way.

  13. no such thing it just has no calories i suggest u get off ur *** and exercise

  14. when you wake up from your bed ,drink 3 to 4 glasses

and then go to bathroom and take shower *do what you normal do before breakfast*

start to eat fruits as breakfast with skim milk

during your work ,drink 2 to 3 glasses

    at lunch

eat salad with one spoon olive oil

let the salad contains some cheese or eggs or any kind of protein

    go and work out

drink 3 small bottles during work out

,eat energy bar during your work out

go and eat *brown rice/brown bread, with low carb veggies /or lean meat*

don't eat after 8 *unless you sleep late at 12 ,eat an apple with yogurt *one hour and half before bed

drink water 2 glasses before you sleep

    good luck

  15. It fills you up with out adding calories to your diet

  16. Fat is soluble in water, allowing your body to use fat for energy.

Water allows the body to process waste (all that burned up fat has to go somewhere)

Water fills the stomach rather than snacking.

    Water has 0 calories.

Too little water can lead to organ and muscle failure.

  17. It does and it does not.   Keeping to your diet, yet with more water will not make a difference, the idea of it is when you drink more water, you fill up a bit leaving less room for food, thus less fat.    Kid of like a gastric band... just just a filler you know?

  18. Hunger pangs and thirst pangs feel very very similar so it's a good idea to try and battle your 'hunger' pang with a glass of water first, if 5 minutes later you feel hungry again, then that's real hunger - half the battle of losing weight is to learn to understand your body and the messages it sends.

Another thing that water does is it keeps your body clear of toxins which you flush out through your urine.  So when the liver and the kidneys are not fighting toxins they are more capable of dealing with fat.

To know if you are drinking enough water, your urine will run clear when you are nicely hydrated.

Also if you're doing lots of exercise you need about 3 litres a day to keep your body hydrated and your joints nice and lubricated.

    Best Wishes
