Question:

How does dryloop work?

I'm getting Vonage phone service. This requires me to disconnect the telephone line at the service box. So there is no physical connection to the phones in my house. How can DSL from Verizon come over a DSL line that is no longer connected to my house phones?

  1. In dry loop the cable is removed between the telephone switch and the splitter. The intervention is not carried out by the customer. There is still a wire pair into the home, which carries the DSL signal.

I suspect that you misunderstood the instructions from Vonage. Check back with them.
