  1. OMG! I saw Elmo too. He was so funny.

Indeed, he is of the sock puppet type. Kevin Clash, Elmo's puppeteer, has his hand up in Elmo's mouth controlling it, and I think his other hand controls the thin sticks that move his hands. Kevin's under the desk, obviously.

"What colour does red and orange make?" XD

  2. elmo is on a board and the puppeteer use like sticks to move the hands and mouth. Don't you see sticks sticking out of hos hands?

  3. Elmo is a 'muppet' (not a sock puppet), using a design created by Jim Henson. These types of puppets are created using foam heads, in which a mouth is attached. The mouth can be operated from inside the head by the puppeteer - hidden by the puppet's body, which actually has a hole at the bottom where the puppeteer's arm goes through to the head. The arms of the puppet are attached to rods, which are then moved by the puppeteer.

  4. elmo is a stick puppet thing, they showed the guy who is the puppeteer for elmo last year on rove, and if you watch the show carefuly, you always get a shot from waist up and he is either behind a seat, or ontop of a table, where easily a puppeteer can hide

  5. hes a little man covered in red fur

  6. he is really a robot with lazers for eyes and a super sophisticated computer chip for a brain

  7. he probably is controlled by strings that you can't see
