How does ending global poverty make the world a better place?

What can we do to end poverty?

you can't end it by giving them food.  they have to be self sufficient.  

i don't think you can cure poverty, and it's existence does not make the world a worser place.  If you increase the standard of poverty, poverty will have a new level and will encompass more people.  Poverty is just a word to get money from people.

poverty is the root cause of many problems like illiteracy ,hunger,diseases ..etc etc .... yes eradication of poverty will surely make this world a better place... may be right now we cant eradicate poverty completely but y not stand up n take an initiative .... if we all come together n work towards it ...it will surely be a great success ...mark my words
