Question:

How does fafsa work when they make an offer to you??

can you just accept the grants if they offer you any and say no to the loans? or do you have to accept/decline the whole package?

  1. By filling out a fasfa you pretty much are accepting the loans/awards. If you have the money for school and don't need aid simply don't fill it out


  2. well ya after getting the fafsa done you will receive grants and loans but those loans are the best ones from what my advisor told me and if you need loans those are the ones to accept. Anyway what i did was accept the grants and later if i didn't receive any more scholarships then i would accept my loans and some only a partial amount. But later what happened with me was that during my first sememster in college i got a random scholarship and it automatically dropped one of my loans for the same amount.

    But for now just don't decline the loans and simply wait to see if you need them later on.
