  1. when you have a forest devastation from natural causes (fires, twister ) or man made logging(okay start to hate me know) but it changes the environment you go from having tree dwelling animals like squirrels, owls, hawks possibly deer in the forest to a field or meadow environment because of the change in vegetation you have more grasses, shrubs, and sucker growth from the cut trees which allows a hugely more varied animal population(diversity). So a forest devastation may seem terrible but the animal world can fair out much better than in a mature forest

  2. Forest fires kill elk, deer and bird. We need to thin out our forest

  3. A forest is an environment.  When you remove the environment for a species you destroy it's shelter and it's source of food.  You destroy ecosystems from the very large systems people can easily recognize all the way down to the micro ecosystems.  Image if your town/city was wiped clean of all it's buildings.  How does that impact you?  Where would you sleep? Where would you buy clothes?  Where would you get your food?  In essence, your forest would have been devestated.  Either you find a new forest, adapt to the new environment, or you perish.  I hope this answer helped.  You can find out more info about environmenal issues at www.GoElectricNow.com.  Thank you.

  4. It reduces their numbers, but in general does not cause species extinction. The amount of forest area in the Northeast America has been reduced to about 2% of its pre-colonial size, and only one species of bird was lost as a result. (Simberloff, 1992). Similar results have been seen in Europe and North America as a whole. Puerto Rico experienced 99% deforestation and has MORE species of birds than before deforestation. Furthermore, your question assumes facts not in evidence, since forest coverage has held steady at about 30% of global land area for the last century (FAO production yearbook) , about 2% of which is manmade.

  5. It is called loss of habitat

    if the forest is gone

so is the animals home ,

    shelter

    food

    and climate ,

and they die if they haven`t already

    .

if they put a person in the desert with out food water or shelter they also die.

  6. connect the dots dude!......... forests serve as habitat for wildlife..... it's where their lives revolve... it's like people in there homes or people in the city..... When a certain place gets struck with a calamity, people are homeless, soon they get sick then they die.......look around.... it's just not happening to people...

  7. It leaves them naked and unprotected.
