How does getting braces off feel like...?

Question

emotionally and physically? I've had my braces for 6 years and I am more than relieved to finally get them off! I just want to know also if there should be anything to expect, like swollen gums, discolored teeth, my teeth getting sawed etc.

ive had braces for like years and ive just found out that i will get them off in 6 weeks im not even joking i am counting downt the days it like christams for me :D:D .... i cannot wait to go to school and smile at everyone :D ... they will hopefully look amazing ....years of metal and rubber bands swapped for smiles and new facebook photo :P ... my only question is what do you mean all slimy like is it the glue or something OH ! and also is it diss colouration like where the blocks have been ?? xx thanks guys you have all made me smile ..:P

I just got mine off two days ago. My teeth are pretty sensitive, so it hurt a bit when they pulled them off, but again my teeth are sensitive. After I got them off they took the glue off with this drill thing, but it does not hurt at all. The only thing that bothered me was the noise it made. After that, they polished my teeth to take the discoloration away. I remember my teeth felt sooo smooth and clean. But the spot right below my gums felt soo slimy from the glue! Haha. I could not stop running my tongue over my teeth! Getting them off is amazing, especially if you have had them for a long time.

i just got mine off today. i keep running my tongue across my teeth like every 5 sec and you will have a smile for the whole day
