  1. The answers are complex as the effects of global warming on ocean currents and weather patterns are very difficult to predict. But the trends that are already apparent are in general,  less precipitation in the tropics and sub-tropics and more  in temperate latitudes. In addition, the rapid melting of glaciers worldwide will, in time, reduce the supply of surface water in some areas to a level  likely to cause permanent or semi permanent drought conditions.

  2. If you ask the 'experts', AGW or GW causes global cooling too....

    Huh?

Yeah, that's what the rest of us think too...

Weather is weather, the drought of teh 1930's wasn't caused by GW or AGW, the ice age didn't end because of cars or dinosaurs driving cars.

Droughts happen when weather patterns change, flood cause when weather patterns change.   Weather is weather, but if you believe in AGW or GW then they are the cause of everything bad...   Hurricanes, tornados, Tsunamis (yes people even blame AGW/GW for Tsunamis)

    Funny isn't it?

We live in a society where really, most of our problems have been solved.  We don't have to worry about shelter, food, clothing, the basics in life, we actually have it pretty good.

The root cause of AGW/GW is someone 'bored' and created a problem.

  3. By redistributing where rain falls.

Increased temperatures cause more evaporation, which causes clouds to form faster and rain faster.  This means some places will receive greater concentrations of rain (and potentially floods) and other places will receive less (and potentially droughts).

  4. Well, don't you know? It is magic, it causes droughts and floods. It causes sun and rain, snow and wind, ice and heat waves.

It is magic. How do I know? Prophet Al Gore of the First Global Church of Climate Change said so and what Al Gore says cannot be questioned.

  5. Global warming heats up ice in places such as Antartica until the ice melts then the water causes floods because of the metled ice falling and melting.

Global warming heats up the atmosphere which causes drought because it lessens rain and dry's rivers.

  6. yes it does. with weird weather patterns, anything can happen. Tsunamis are caused by earthquakes though.

  7. The same reasoning that says "global warming" causes both warmer and colder temperatures.

Global warming and man must be blamed for causing everything. This way more guilt can be installed into the people as a way to justify paying higher taxes.

  8. The warming of the Earth will cause glaciers to melt, causing sea level to rise and major flooding. But in places where the water is warm, it heats the water more, causing it to evaporate and then droughts.

  9. It moves the boundaries between warm air and cold air where precipitation mostly falls.

So different areas now get either more or less precipitation.  Areas which previously were dry have adapted to that, with soil and topography.  Increased precipitation can easily flood them.

Areas which got a lot of precipitation are where people located farms. When crops don't get enough precipitation, we call it a drought.
