How does good looks promise a better future?

I've a debate competition coming up and I've got to support the topic.I dont really really have much ideas to elaborate about it.So could you guys help me out?

There have been psychological studies done which show that even babies are attracted to people with even features.  Those are the ones we all think are attractive.

Due to this phenomenon, good looking people have an inherent advantage.  This advantage starts in early childhood and continues throughout life.  Pretty children are treated better by their teachers and their school mates.  Good looking people are given advantages in hiring situations.  We tend to forgive them quicker, and overlook completely some of their shortcomings.

Once people are known, their personality and character become more important than their looks.  Even though it is unfair that good looking people have some advantages, we need to beware that we don't "throw the baby out with the bathwater", by assuming that all good looking people are stuck up, or vain, or shallow.  People, whether good looking, average, or ugly have the possibility of being the best or the worst person you've ever met.

"Good Looks" or an appearance of attractiveness in human society consists of facial and body symmetry and apparent health and vitality. These traits are subliminal triggers for other humans to look on them with favor, whether it is in a search for a mate or in professional situations.

Although as a "civilized" society, we speak out against using appearance as a sole judgment tool, it can not be discounted or eliminated completely.

Alot of people have used their good looks to get into the door. Once they are in the door they really can't rely on their looks anymore. Many models have made alot of money & invested in wisely & turned their modeling career into other careers such as acting or Tara Banks for example is now a talk show host......Why don't you look up models on wikipedia & go to each site & get examples of how they started out with their looks & took that & turned their opportunities into bigger opportunities.
