How does grass reproduce?

look me and my mates were arguing about this and i said it happens in the normal way with pollen and seeds ect.

so i want to sort this out.

  1. They produce seeds and flowers, but mainly they produce rhizoids under the ground that spread out over a wide area and branch out and form new shoots.

  3. Typical grass has roots that pollinate each other underground, the same way some plants do above ground, these produce seeds extremely close to the parent, thus why grass comes in billions in fields, not in little patches like Dandilions.

    BTW, Photosynthesis is just a way that plant makes food, I dont know where you got the idea for photosynth for reproduction...

  4. Grasses reproduce like most other plants--they produce flowers, the pollen is usually wind dispersed and they pollinate the ovary, produce seeds and the seeds germinate and grow.

    They are also colonial and rhizomonous, meaning that they have specialized roots (rhizomes) that can reproduce asexually.
