  1. i live in the USofA (NJ) and i have 4 semesters and i take.... umm i really dont know how many classes i take a year

  2. In most parts of Texas we have two semesters per year, each 18 weeks divided into 3 six-week periods. Freshmen and sophomores take 7 classes per day, most are full-year, a few are one semester only.

  3. Two semester a year 7classes each semester 4years of High School. 24 credits to graduate. (.5) credit per semester depending on the class

  4. I live in Canada (eh!), province of Ontario, and how it works here is that we have two semesters. The first runs from September until late January, the second semester from then until late June, when school ends. You take four courses per semester, totaling eight. No courses are more than one semester long. In grade 12, if you so desire, you can take only three courses per semester, as long as you haven't failed any classes. Here are our mandatory classes:

    - Grade 9:English, French, Math, Science, Gym, Geography and two elective

    - Grade 10: English, History, Math, Science, Careers/Civics and three electives

    - Grade  11: English, Math and six electives

    - Grade 12:English and five through seven electives.

Once you turn 16 you can also do things like co-op, which is when you get two (half-day) or four (full day program) elective credits by working in a job of your choice durring school hours. Exchanges are also possible but you don't usually get credit for them.

    Hope I helped.
