  1. The definition of history is the recounting of past events.

    Not all events are worth historical study.  The events studied (or, facts chosen) are those that promote pride in one's country, or civilization.

    system of writing

    monumental building

    some form of government

    laws

    classes of people who dont work for foor (artists, merchant, etc)

    military

    agriculture

    there are more, but those are the big ones
