  1. hslda.org has all you state laws. It can be expensive to get the curriculums depending on what you use. Google home school curriculums and you may get overwhelmed with all the choices but look at them to figure out what your interested in and how much they cost.

  3. homeschooling can be as cheap or expensive as you want to make it.  

    There are three ways to comply with the law:

    1.  Higher a tutor with a valid teaching credential.  This is the most expensive option. It is often used by child actors.

    2.  Enroll in a ISP (independent study program).  This can be free if you use a public school or charter school.  Or cost money if you enroll in a private school ISP.  

    3.  Establish your own private school.  This is much easier than it sounds.  It requires filing one form with the state each year and mainting a few records at home.  Then you can school in whatever way you like.  For free: use the internet and the public library and your community resources to school. Or expensive buy a complete curriculm from a company that provides this service.  Or something in between.
