How does humidity affect the way water, nutrient transport through plants??

  1. Humidity affects the transport of water throughout plant by diffusion. When the air is humid (65% to 100% relative humidity), the amount of water that comes out from the leaves decreases which slows down the plant's  intake of water through the roots, since the amount of moisture in the air is "saturated". The drier the air, the more moisture escapes the leaves due to evaporation which subsequently pulls the water from the roots, thus increases the rate of transport. This process is called transpiration
