Well, if you are "whistle-blowing" you are literally "blowing the whistle" on someone or something usually involved in corruption, theft, cheating, lying.  By calling the person out and bringing their wrongdoing to the attention of the proper authorities, you are showing you have integrity and good moral values because you know right from wrong and do not want to see an injustice done  someone getting away with something.

  3. I have to 100 % agree with your most popular answer posted, but can't help but wonder if you are in an Ethics class. The class I am in right now through me for a loop when the assignment came up about this subject. Though my mind was completely on a different track prior to getting started with the assignment, it was very interesting the things I learned when researching it all.
