What benefit can you get when considered as a top contributor in the Yahoo Answers? I'm very much interested to become one.

  1. There really isn't any extra benefit from the title.

when I first got it, I was rather embarrassed, seems I spent too much time on the computer and not doing other things.

it would be nice if yahoo sent you some sort of prize for spending so much time with them but afraid it isn't going to happen.

  2. I don't know.I still answer the questions in the same way.I was very surprised to become a top contributor, after just a few weeks.I couldn't understand it,other people have been on here for much longer but, they are still not a TC.I don't know how the system works or even if anybody takes it seriously.

  3. Well, it makes you feel good to know that your efforts have been "rewarded" and others are able to note your status. The other benefit is that often times askers may take your answer into more consideration.

The only thing you have to remember is that if you don't "maintain" your top contributer label in a certain category, you lose it. For example, I got my first top contributer label in the Languages section, but once I started frequenting Society & Culture more often I lost it.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll get one soon! :)
