  1. You don't really get a sense of how fast you are going unless you look out of the window. When the plane takes off you feel the rumbling of the engines and you feel your self moving up with the airplane as it gains altitude. Some people like it some don't. I see a lot of people close their eyes during take off.

  2. You don't feel the speed at all, unless you look out the window. It feels a bit like going over a steep bridge in a car - you'll be pushed back in your seat a bit, but other than that it's pretty gentle and you can't tell that you're accelerating.

I always like to look out the window at the scenery and watch it get smaller - my favorite part!

  3. It's really this idea of propelling yourself into the air, so it's like 1000 trucks driving you forward. you'll pick up speed along the runway and then it's a bit bumpy. After that really you're just soaring into the air until you've reached a stable point. It's not that traumatic as people lead on to be.

  4. I haven't been on a plane since I was 11....I'm 13 now. I remember it being very slow taking off. We moved very slowly to the run way.  I was sort of scared at first because I wasn't exactly ready...It wasn't very speedy. It was actually kind of fun at first. Good luck!

  5. I'd be more worried about the landing, remember , it's the pilots last landing that's the most important landing of all.

  6. Like a cross between being in a car and "flooring it" and being in an elevator when it starts to go up.

The feeling is not nearly as extreme as being in a roller coaster.

  7. It feels a little like being on an elevator with more noise and a slight forboding of a crash and having your body torn into litle bits of meat all along the tarmac. No problem.
