How does it make you feel when someone says it's hard to be black in America?

I personally think that it's not true. Life is only hard if you make it hard, and I being a young black person, knows that life in America isn't hard just because of the fact that you are black. Just because someone is black and lives in America doesn't meen that their life is hard.

To answer your question, yes, it does perpetuate a cycle of controversy.

I think no one should judge someone else unless they have lived in their shoes, looking in from the outside is far different from actually living it. It is no denying that the life of some whites and blacks differ greatly so of course their expierence is different. But I do think that black people should use it as an excuse for every sitituation. But I find it best not to make judgements because that creates resentment and contempt  However you have some points but they will be lost if it comes off as judgement.
