I am expecting a letter from Italy. It was posted on the 18th of December 2007. The letter has not arrived yet. Should I contact the sender and ask them to send it again?

I posted a letter to Italy on the 18th of December by registered post. It has not been delivered yet. Should I be worried?

  1. Italians are a bit slow, over Christmas slower,

normally I would say a week, but give it some extra

  2. You can calculate how long it should've taken your letter by using this:

    http://postage.anpost.ie/transit.asp

  3. i have a penfriend in ireland,i know that usually take a long time to get to ireland usually 1 week but on christmas holiday it could take longer so i don't think you should be worried.

  4. I have sent postcards from Ireland to Italy two years ago.

Postcards were delivered in less of fifteen days, so I think it's better if ask to send it again.

  5. Postman Pat has been messing around with Mrs...what's her name..from the shop

  6. la posta italiana is like most things here a joke...

whenever my family post thins from the uk to me it may take a couple of days... but from italy to the uk it may take 1-4 weeks!!!!

but there again i live in southern italy where absolutley nothing works as it should....

i'm still waiting for a parcel posted in the first week of december... but what with xmas and also a lorry drivers strike, which the country ran out off petrol, things take a little longer..

  7. I once posted 2 books to the USA it weighed 1.2 kg and took about 5 days.

    Is that any help ?

  8. depends on how you sent it ... first class vs. air mail vs. ground, etc.
