If you came from a home such that you were reasonably happy and comfortable there, then it'll probably be a little scary/depressing until you get settled in, but once you start to meet people and get used to your new place (assuming it's not a total dive) then you'll probably enjoy it a lot.  Having a bit of personal space from family etc is a great feeling.  That's my experience anyway.  I still always miss home for about the first week after I come back from a vacation, but I get over that and even have fun once in a while.  Best of luck to ya!

For me, it felt fine,.. but after being in college for a while it was a bit lonely and scary. Try and make a lot of friends and join clubs.. keep busy! Try to focus on school also.. it'll make you feel good to study.
