How does level stakes betting to points work?

I decide to pick a football team out every Saturday and put an imaginary 5 points bet on them - regardless of their odds.

So every week I risk the same amount of "play money" on my picks. The level stakes part means you cannot have more/less play money on the bet just because you are more/less sure of the outcome.

At the end of the season I will have a level stakes profit or loss of x*x points.
