How does light damage your eyes?

Your pupil gets bigger or smaller based on the amount of light in the room (smaller if there's more light and bigger if there's less light).

This is why you're blinded after about 10 minutes of darkness (because there's too much light entering your eye and your eye has to adjust to the amount of light in the room).
