  1. Wow Confused... Vexed! Might I steal that from you?

Back to the Q.  Where do you think we got Creative writing. It is offered as  an academic course, as well as outside the academia. How will it build creativity simple, we need to create when we write, it's not something that are pre-written already so we don't have to create it ourselves.  When we read we create images in our mind, and sometimes the author intentionally let the readers to interpret those images on their own. There are many times that we take inspiration from literature to create our own literatures or images. Places, arts, technologies. and such - are much inspired by literature as by any muses.

  2. Literature expands the realm of possibility to that which one might not otherwise expect.  Once you've seen how words can grow out and create a whole new scenario, then it's easier to build up a distinguised world or scenario of your own.  Moreover, if one has a mindset of something specific and reads something completely different, it can help creep out the edges of your mental box and expand your mind.
