  1. living in a desert isnt easy. It would challenge you mentally as well as physically

  2. Provides them with a LOT of patience...finding water, keeping it, finding more water...shelter from sandstorms create original, better ideas about shelters. Same original thinking about the best, coolest garments....that can also keep the sun's rays from burning them under these garmets.

In short, it creates adaptive personalities and highly creative thinking.

  3. Cultures that live far removed from the ocean, for long periods of time, tend to have an iodine deficiency which results in goiter (swelling of the thyroid gland in the front of the neck)...

This is an indication that modern humans evolved rapidly while living near oceans, where sweet fresh water emptied into the sea, and all types of fish were an essential part of the diet

Iodine is found in greatest quantities in the salt water oceans!

  5. Chef,s don,t like it,cos the Arabs make their own sandwiches.

  6. It would make you appreciate water a lot more for one thing.

  8. I was born and raised in central Arizona. At the age of 29, I moved to northern Minnesota for my railroad job. Life is tougher in MN. It takes some effort to live here. And this is reflected in the people here. They're not here because it's easy. They're here because they want to be here. And I've observed this makes for a better type of citizen. I'm talking about the more remote and rural areas. Just my observation.
