  1. Metformin and Coreg CR (carvedilol) have a moderate drug-drug interaction.

    Metformin normally decreases blood glucose but rarely causes hypoglycaemia but you still need to be cautious.

    Beta-blockers (carvedilol) may inhibit some of the normal physiologic response to hypoglycemia. Symptoms of hypoglycemia such as tremors and tachycardia may be absent, making it more difficult for patients to recognize an oncoming episode.

    It is prescibed in conjunction to a lot of people though.
