So I just got a website started for my new company. I would love suggestions on how I can improve it. Also, if there is any good ways to advertise it without being charged tons of money

Thanks!

  1. It has a very good start but it needs a bit more of a wow factor now. Implement much more text and copy into the site and optimize your website for local search if that is what you are targeting.

  2. It's very good. Now all you got to do is get loads more original content. I am not clever enogh to tell you how well coded it is, which is important. Are you logging your vistor stats? If not get free Statcounter. They have a good forum also, where you will get a lot of help. Also see http://www.shareworld.co.uk for ideas going forward.

  3. It's a good start and well done for giving it a go.

But I must agree with some of the other commentators provide more content and some links. There is plenty of content out there ' two-clicks' I call it COPY & PASTE.

Use those resources. If you do have a little cash to invest the site below may help as its packed with website tools. Don't be put off by the intro

  4. In my opinion there's a little too much blank space, so the overall impression is that there isn't much going on with it. Otherwise it's very cute.

You can do free advertising with article marketing, like ezinearticles.com, and then put your website link in the "resource box". They also have a free newsletter on how to write good effective articles, so definitely sign up for that.

A lot of people feel intimidated by article marketing because they feel like they don't know how to write articles, or get writers block. But there are sites called "PLR" sites that either sell or give away "Private Label Rights" articles where you can claim to be the author of the article, or you can edit the article however you want and completely claim it as your own. One good free one I know of is plrwholesaler.com. They have a "free" level membership, and there's a LOT of stuff in there that you can use as you please. So then you just choose articles that suit your topic, and edit them as you need and post them to the article directories, and include a link to your website at the bottom. You should definitely edit them because you have to keep in mind you won't be the only person using that same article. You can also use PLR sites for website content, or ebooks or newsletters.

Make sure the articles are on the same subject as the website you're linking to, otherwise your traffic will be really bad.

There's also another site that is dedicated to the subject of website traffic, trafficology.com. They charge $30 a month for membership and their newsletter, but they have a 2 month free trial where you have full access to the whole website, so take a lot of notes before the membership expires! lol They have a lot of good info there.

  5. You site looks alright.
