I have a bachelors degree in Geography but want to look into becoming a Foreign Affairs Officer.

It really depends for which country you are from. In most cases, a battery of tests are administered - written exams (history, geography, current events, and the facility of a foreign language), and panel interviews. Check with your own Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the State Department (for US).
