How does one become a commerical airline pilot?

You begin by getting your private pilots license. Then you work your way up the ladder. May I suggest looking into colleges which have a pilots program? (North Dakota and Embry Riddle have two of the best, but Embry is expensive) also Okalhoma Univ. is good.
