  1. You have way more than our high school graphic design teacher did. At the bare minimum, you'll need to qualify as a teacher first, meaning having teaching credentials or whatever your state requires.

    Next, if there is already a program at the school you want to teach at, I'd start by asking them. If there isn't, maybe you can talk to someone (faculty) about starting a program at the school of your choice.

    Worst case, they'll be able to point you in the right direction.

    BTW, our teacher basically made up the design program by himself at our high school, and now it's flourishing.


  2. You need to look on your state's Dept of Ed website. Most states have some kind of alternative certification program. It could be as easy for you as getting a teaching job as you take some required education courses, or as complicated as going back to school for a few years. The website should explain everything you need for where you live.
