  1. i guess.. take modeling lessons

get a headshot and an agent

having an agent will help a lot.

sometimes the studio where you take modeling lessons will help you get a job once you graduate

  2. Get an agent :3

  3. Talent agent.

  4. getting an agent and making a portfolio

  5. ok so. start by hiring a photographer (or take pictures yourself with a very high quality camera on a white backdrop. but hiring someone is best) and create the foundation of your portfolio with a variation of photos of yourself. contact 10 agencies which you would like to be with (because you never know how you will be periceved) and set up an interview or send in your portfolio.

if they take you they will either take polaroids and a video of your walk on the spot so be prepared and groomed and all. or they may ask you to come in another day to do all that if theyre tight and have to see other model wannabes. well ya so all that is basicaally the first step and there alot more down the road and it isnt easy so good luck.

o also im not sure if you wanna go commercial or high fashion but everyone has to start commercial anyhow. and i mean everyone. theres maybe like 1% of all the models out there who didnt really commercial. and by 'commercial' i mean target, macys, nordstroms, then maybe bloomingdales, and if your good enogh bergdof goodman, and saks and more high end. thenn you cant break your way out into hf

  6. Erm.... My friend was a model and she got me into modeling business.... :-) That's one way. ^^

  7. be up on ur designers!! know all the designer brands. be as fit as u can, ur body is ur work, be clean, hairless, good hygene. an go to modling agencies for interviews! ♥ i hope i helped n_n

  8. Well trying to be a male model is interesting. The fashion industry is full of famous female supermodels, their images fill television ads and magazines. Although they never get as famous as female models, fashion needs male models, too. So in reality? It's not impossible to become one. Now, a modeling career may look easy, glamourous, but it takes lots of hard work, drive and devotion to become a male model. So if you're sure about this, then take my advice into consideration.

    Step 1

You need to have the look. Try to meet the industry's standard requirements. Most male models are between 5' 11" and 6' 2" and under 175 pounds. Males can start a modeling from the age range of 18 to 25 and their careers can last well into their 40s, which is much more relaxed than their female counterparts. I mean, age really doesn't matter at all! There are some s**y 60 year old guys out there! Now, don't worry about being all around perfection, if one body part is exceptional. There's work for hand models and eyewear models, too.

    Step 2

Keep toned. Although the modeling industry doesn't want a body builder's frame, they do want a fit and appearance. So be cut, cut, cut, cut. The more depth you have, the better.~ Besides, everyone likes a guy who looks s**y, so not only will it help you at work but also out of work.

    Step 3

If you want to increase your chances, move to a big city. New York City is the best place for modeling as it is considered the modeling capital of America. Other large cities need models, too, so check around via the Internet and in books for modeling opportunities in these areas. However! Most people think if they're in a small town, it means they can't be a model. Don't believe this, there are scouts everywhere and becoming a model even in the middle of nowhere is possible. Desert shots are a hot trend.

    Step 4

Create a portfolio. Get several head shots and full body shots in both sportswear and business attire taken. Keep information like clothing size, height and weight on the back for potential clients to look at. Doesn't have to be fancy, just let them see you.

    Step 5

Talk, talk, talk. Meet people, talk to them, build your network. The more people you know, the easier it is for you to get connections into places. Also, if you can, get a bussiness card. Hand it out to people and make sure that if they call you, they'll always be greeted kindly either by you or your answering machine.

    Step 6

Get an agent. A good time to find one is when a modeling agency holds open call, which is when anyone can go in and be informed of their potential in the industry. Also  remember when I told you a model scout will go to smaller towns to look for talent? Be sure to research their legitimacy before signing up. Sometimes there are scouting companies that don't hire the models, they just send information to modeling agencies such as CK, D&G, Brooks Brothers, and etc.

    Step 7

Be persistent. Even today's top models have been rejected more than once. If one agency passes on you, think of it as an opportunity to find a better agency. Don't get discourage. If someone says no, it just means you don't fit their look and style. Everyone meets a style.

    Step 8

Keep a flexible schedule. Once an agent starts booking shoots, a model must be ready to be on location on short notice. A passport is a must for any model. So being a model is difficult since you need to either have a job that understands your needs or parents that will support you.

    Step 9

Never give up, workout constantly, eat right, and have fun. That's all the advice I got for you, so I hope it helps. :)
