625 lbs of Wheat Mids

625 lbs of Rolled Corn

625 lbs of Corn Glutten

625 lbs of Soy Pellets

This mix had a protein value of 13% on October 29, 2007.

This same mix had a protein vaule of 12% on November 02, 2007.

Why would the protein value decrease with the same mix?

Is there another mix that has the same or higher protein value at a reasonable price?

  1. Very likely it's just a sampling error.  With soy pellets as your main source of protein, one or two less pellets in your sample would make the difference.  Your mix didn't change protein value.  There are almost an unlimited number of mixes that you could make with a higher percentage of protein.  What you need is the cheapest mix that will give you the protein you need.  Find yourself a Morrison's Feed and Feeding  book and you can determine what mixes of any kind of feeds that will give you what you want.

  2. they changed the protein value cant ya tell
