How does one come about becoming a leader of men?

Referring to the likes of Abraham Lincoln, Leonidas I, Andrew Carnegie, Alexander the Great and Theodore Roosevelt.

Nature or nurture? Is it in the blood, or through discipline and mindset?

  3. Characteristics of a leader:

    - Wise.

    - Tolerant.

    - Confident.

    - Strategic.

    - Detached from criticism.

    - Inspires, doesn't command.

    Leaders also emphasise the good qualities in others.

  4. It is through determination and the ability to handle people who are much smarter than you are. Character, stamina and strategy are all bonuses.

    It's in the blood, I believe, but under specific conditions leaders can also be made.
