  1. watch this video! it realy shows wat body movements u need to make

    good luck

  2. Try dryland first.  Stand up in front of a mirror prefereably.  Body motion first leave arms at your side.

bend over 90* like you are going to touch your toes.  This is position 1 head and feet are down.  Head and feet are always the same up or down.  Now for position 2 stand up bend your knees 45* turn your face towards the sky arch your back and still out your gut.  Do these 2 positions several times.

    Head and feet are down

    head and feet are up

    head and feet are down

    head and feet are up

Now you are going to add the arms.

when head and feet are down arms are extended out in front of you

as you go to position 2 you pull

pull scull out push hands out past shoulder width apart arms slightly bent

pull bring arms back in close to the body chest level and finish by pushing straight down till thumbs touch legs.  The pull should excelerate in the finish

Recovery-the non-pulling part where the arms come out over the water as you go to position 1.  Arms recover out to the side elbows slightly bent.  Elbows high hands closer to the water.  Hands enter the water in a 10 & 2 position.  For breathing breathe every other stroke lift the head when switching from position 1 to 2.  When you pull it is one continuous motion a complete rotation from when the hands are in front.  Do not pause when hands are down by your sides

  3. start with the body motion.  to do this press your chest down and let it flow through to your legs.  When you have that down and are ready to add the arms you start your pull, than kick yourself up to breath, than as your arms are re-entering the water kick your head back into the water.  Just try to keep your arms under your body, if you go too wide it won't be as effective... the shape doesn't  matter.  To get the hang of it you might try using short fins.  Just keep practicing.  Good luck!
