How does one draw a waveform from a truth table?

  1. well you can look at a truth table per se from a flip flop.  look at the input waveforms and see what the output would be based on the truth table.  the output in this case would be the same from the leading edge of your timing pulse until the next one then it would be whatever the inputs determine it would be again.  ect.  hope this helps


  2. Waveforms are graphs of voltage over time.

    If your truth table works on TTL voltage levels, logic 0 = 0V, and logic 1 = 5V.

    Now just figure out how to relate that to time.  Time isn't usually incorporated into a truth table, but you could assume that each row corresponds to 1 second, then graph all your inputs and outputs with different vertical offsets, but a common horizontal scale.
