How does one eliminate cat urine oder from a goose down comforter?

I just discovered that my altered adult male cat must have apparently urinated on our goose down comforter sometime this winter. It is only on one spot where he normally sleeps.

I checked with the cleaners and they informed me that dry cleaning will not remove the oder.

Does anybody have any old fashioned remedies for removing the smell? It can be washed in the washing machine. Should I add baking soda? Or something else? Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

vinagar sometimes works to remove cat urine odor. Pour about a cup in the wash.

Fight ammonia with ammonia, is what I always believed!  Add some ammonia to the wash cycle along with your ususal detergent. Rinse twice!

I would try washing it without anything extra first but if it does still smell wash it with some Bio Kleen Bac Out.
