  1. One truly never forgets but if you replace bad memories with more good ones then it is a whole lot easier on you.



    My guess might be Alzheimer's can help you forget but it's so painful to see someone you love in that later stages of the illness!

  5. You tend to forget when you don't consider the matter or person as an important one. You forget when you don't think what all works that need to be done.

  6. loss of memory occurs not because of time but because of the inability to associate or use the information with any other information. If memory traces are used constantly or associated with other

    information, they wouldn't begin to fade and the memory could be retrieved easily.

    Well.... I've just done forgetting and stuff in psych the other week and there are just so many perspectives of forgetting... so you just ask us how does one forget... seriously... I can't help with that question

  8. My guess is by removing the antecedents and/or reinforcers that trigger and encourage the mental behavior of "remembering" the specific event.  But, I could be wrong.
