  1. Go to http://www.popup-remover.com

I use that program. It works very well.

Block pop-up ads and remove spyware .

  2. I recently installed Magic Jack onto my computer and with it came a truckload of adware, spyware, and warnings. Every attempt I made to access the internet gave me a warning and took me to one of their sites to purchase XP security. However, it was an unofficial site.

The only way I got rid of it was to do a system restore to the day before I  installed the Magic Jack, and now I'm back up and running - without the popup warning.

Obviously, I sent back the Magic Jack and told them to keep it and all it's piggy-backed software with it!

  3. click start/ control panel/security center/

on the left, the bottom link says "change the way security center alerts me"  click there and uncheck the alerts you do not want to get.
