  1. Winning races is always a good thing, but it's not always enough, depending on the type of sponsorship your friend wants. Factory teams will definitely need a solid record, but if you're looking to get someone to help finance your racing, you should make a portfolio. Describe alittle about yourself <or your friend>, your passion for racing, and where you see yourself in 3-5 years in the sport. Most sponsors want to know exactly who is representing them so your attitude is important. Be sure and include a picture of your bike and where their logo will be placed on the bike.

As far as on the track, I got my first sponsorship because I holeshot over 90% of the races I started. In the begining, I rarely finished in first, or second for that matter, but showed that I had the potential for speed, and that's what every sponsor wants.....to see their bike in first place and in the media. Practice your gate starts, never take your eyes off the first turn, and keep your elbow straight up & out and don't back down for anyone...... Good luck! Keep kickin ***!!

  2. get to the podium first, maybe you can get a sponsor

  3. win a few races without a sponser and then ask for sponsers and show them ur racing records.

  4. ask god for one

  5. Firstly you have to be good enough to get the interest of the people who are likely to sponsor as they want to be able to say that the person they sponsor has one this even or placed in that event.

You also have to be prepared to enter everything to get those result and to be seen as sponsors want their riders to be seen at all race meets.

So you have to have the results to take to whoever you have in mind and with those results add a resume of who you are, what things you intend to do in the coming year and the benefits the sponsor would get from sponsoring you.  Sadly being good looking tends to help as well as ability even though it shouldnt.

  6. just ask

  7. Practice, Practice, Practice..... To get a full blown sponsorship(that's where they pay for everything) you have to be pro. www.sponsorhouse.com does offer sponsorship.but, it's "co-sponsors" or "support sponsors" these kind of sponsors only offer 10% to 35% discount on parts and products. But, You really need to finish in the top three.(example): If you race at the surrounding local tracks in your state and you race 60 times in a season and you finished about 40 times in the top three, Then you have a chance on getting some strong local sponsorship from one of the local motorcycle shops. Now you need to go hit at least 6 of the big national races out of state and finish in the top five of all 6 races and then you can talk to some bigger sponsors.(this was only an example).

All racers have to start at the bottom and have to struggle for awhile(we all had to do it) It's part of racing and extreme sports.

Remember on thing, do not turn down any sponsorship from anyone when starting out every little bit helps.

  8. race, race often, get good results, try hard, and have a positive attitude, and the sponsors will come to you.

or you can go to www.sponsorhouse.com and simply apply for them.....
