How does one get the job of prison executioner?

I wonder who they find people to be the ones to execute the killers on death row, is it in the classifieds? Does one have to be in Law enforcement, what kind of "past experience" is applicable?

i think doctors do it because of all the fuss about doctors should be keeping people alive and not killing them

The states that still have death by firing squad have it done by correctional officers.

Not here. In Britain we abolished it....Though, you can get it for rebellion against the Queen...
