How does one go about getting money from a newspaper article?

I'm 13 but I can really use big words and sound professional and stuff. I also won a NATIONAL story-writing competition and won a 1000 dollar trip to space camp for free. How much do they pay for editorials? How do you go about getting rights to write news articles? are 13 year olds even aloud to write?

As long as they don't patronise and rant. And best to spell right, also - or else you will not be 'aloud' to shine.

First off, they had better spell allowed correctly. Just teasing. Congrats on the competition.

Does your school have a newspaper? Try that. And if the local newspaper has a youth section, it might take articles. Our does. You won't get paid, but it's good experience.
