I mis-read the question, I thought it said without an output on the deck. What he says is correct.

go to radio shack. they sell some cables where one end has two male RCA (left and right) and on the other end it has a 3.5mm headphone connection, like the one used to connect any headphone to any portable audio device.

then you just connect the RCA's to the amp.. and the headphone connector to the ipod.
