How does one organize address bar entries from most visited to least in Mozilla Firefox?

In short, you have no real control over display order, however, I have noticed that when you begin typing "http://www.", the entries displayed are in the order of most visited (using the type in the address method).  Once you type any additional letters beyond the "."  (IE; http://www.a), then the sort order switches to alphabetic.
