How does one rip videos?

Question

I want to make videos for Youtube using clips from movies. I know how to make a video using still pictures but not moving clips. My question is simple, how do you rip video from DVD's? I have an Mac computer and I use imovie and Quicktime. Thanks!

You need the third party software to help you, use Handbrake(free) or aimersoft dvd ripper for mac(I use it for a long time, and it works really nice), you can check them out here for free
